Gotee, an elegant, onyx, eleven-month-old, Spitz ? Kelpie mix pup, is intelligent, alert and loyal. Those qualities made the medium-sized boy decide that people controlled everything; that people, especially Gotee?s adored owner, could be trusted completely. Young Gotee couldn?t imagine a reason his person would fail him.
At least Gotee couldn?t imagine it until he?d been in the shelter for six weeks. During those agonizing weeks, Gotee watched for his person?s return. He ignored potential friends. The faithful pup was waiting.
Gotee didn?t know that, even if he waited his lifetime, his owner wouldn?t return. Gotee didn?t know that people can lose control, lose homes and, then, lose wonderful pups. Still, Gotee was right about people having control. Humans always have better options than homeless pups.
